It was 2 years ago I decided to say fuck it, and start living for myself. To commit and go wholeheartedly into a brand and business that I had started only 6 months before deciding to go into it full-time. All I had was the vision that it would grow. That it would help so many, emotionally. I had no proof it would work except my vision and my determination to make it happen. This business was self-made by both Marlon and I. we had no rich relatives, no investors, or huge bank loans when we started.

The business was initially fueled by our corporate paychecks, in addition to selling many things we owned. I had never started a business in my life. I was scared as fuck. I didn’t even have a business degree. But I remembered I wasn’t special, just hardworking, motivated, and passionate. That’s what kept me going. Then it turned into a full-fledged community of many women I admire and love. The Savage Babe community is what keeps us going and keeps my vision strong. I don’t think we’d be this far without all the love and support the business got over the last few years from so many who believe in the work we are doing.

I decided to work on this journal during a time of great healing for myself. that's why the short proses and prompts will be touching deeper levels of personal growth and self-love. everything I write about will really capture the healing work I'm doing. I've found from most things I've created in the past, that my most valuable work that truly helps others flourish is work that's intertwined with the things, emotions, and places that I feel deeply about. I never want to create something out of force. my intention is to always create from the heart.
